Arizona is home to some of the loveliest scenic places in the United States.  It offers several recreational attractions and we include some of the best areas to visit:

 

The Grand Canyon, world-renowned mile-deep sided canyon carved by the Colorado River, Flagstaff known for their Ponderosa Pines, Sedona red rock country a desert town an hour drive south of Flagstaff that’s surrounded by red-rock buttes, steep canyon walls and pine forests.  Prescott with its diverse terrain has hiking and mountain bike trails, horseback riding, recreational lakes and fishing.

The world’s best preserved meteorite impact site on Earth.  Meteor Crater in Winslow, is the spectacular result of a collision between an asteroid traveling 26,000 miles per hour and planet Earth nearly 50,000 years ago.

The Wave, one of the popular Arizona attractions, it is a sandstone U-shaped long narrow formation with brilliant, colorful layers resembling waves formed during the Jurassic period. Located close to the border between Arizona and Utah.

Montezuma Castle National Monument near Camp Verde, a Ancestral Puebloan cliff dwellings; Hoover Dam built to control the Colorado River as well as provide hydroelectric power; Lake Powell  a man-made reservoir on the Colorado River; Horseshoe Bend on the Colorado River in Page; Tonto National Monument- Superstition Mountain in central Arizona; Petrified Forest National Park located north of Arizona.  Monument Valley, known for the towering sandstone buttes of Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park located on the Arizona-Utah border.
